The CO-OP THINK Prize committee asks several questions when reviewing submitted ideas: Is it solid enough to move the industry ahead? Is it innovative and inspired? Is the idea sharable, cooperative and collaborative? Can the idea truly be implemented? Finalists included Marcela Jauregui who suggested a QR code on the back of cards so members can access their accounts with simply their smart phones and a pin, Jay Schwartz who proposed a credit union social network where members can exchange ideas, and Paul Yang who devised a real-time person-to-person payment system utilizing an ATM network.
