In this preview to his appearance at THINK 14, serial entrepreneur, bestselling author and social media guru Gary Vaynerchuk explains that the credit union movement needs some serious momentum. “Even the best marketers aren’t [always] marketing like it’s 2014,” he says, “but credit unions aren’t even marketing like it’s 2009.”

Ouch. But Vaynerchuk thinks credit unions can gain traction by positioning themselves as a clear alternative to banks and by finally “marketing in the year we live in.” The good news: “Literally, in 24 months this could be a progressive industry in marketing. It just takes action.”
