“Think big. Create a ‘Tomorrow Team.’ And don’t ignore culture.”

Through a direct challenge to its 170 member hospitals, Children’s Miracle Network President and CEO John Lauck learned the starkly significant philanthropy that’s required to make it possible for CMN Hospitals to do all the work needed for the impacted children and families that the hospitals serve.

In this segment former host of Public Radio’s Marketplace Money and host of THINK ’14, Tess Vigeland interviews Lauck about doing what it takes to tackle skyrocketing challenges. Vigeland inquires about the means and methods that Lauck and team have put in place to deliver on CMN’s Hospitals’ ambitious fund raising goals. She further explores with Lauck what lessons he’s learned in the implementation of his lofty objectives and how those lessons might benefit credit unions.

John Lauck is President and CEO of CMN’s Hospitals. Prior to CMN Hospitals, Lauck was the CEO of Mrs. Fields Famous Brands and President and CMO of Arby’s.

Tess Vigeland is a veteran journalist, and a well-known voice to millions of American radio listeners. She is the CEO of Tess Vigeland Productions, and recently finished writing her first book, about career transition, to be published by Random House.
