SETH GODIN is the author of 18 books that have been bestsellers around the world and have been translated into more than 35 languages. He’s also the founder of the altMBA and The Marketing Seminar, online workshops that have transformed the work of thousands of people.

He writes about the post-industrial revolution, the way ideas spread, marketing, quitting, leadership and most of all, changing everything. You might be familiar with his books Linchpin, Tribes, The Dip and Purple Cow.

In addition to his writing and speaking, Seth has founded several companies, including Yoyodyne and Squidoo. His blog (which you can find by typing “seth” into Google) is one of the most popular in the world.

JOSE ANDRES was named one of Time’s “100 Most Influential People” in both 2012 and 2018 and awarded “Outstanding Chef” and "Humanitarian of the Year" by the James Beard Foundation

José Andrés is an internationally recognized culinary innovator, author, educator, television personality, humanitarian, and chef/owner of ThinkFoodGroup. A pioneer of Spanish tapas in the United States, he is also known for his groundbreaking avant-garde cuisine and his award-winning group of 31 restaurants plus a food truck located throughout the country, as well as in Mexico City and the Bahamas. José is the only chef globally that has both a two-star Michelin restaurant and four Bib Gourmands. His award-winning restaurants include two Michelin-starred minibar by José Andrés, Jaleo, Zaytinya, J by José Andrés at W Mexico City, Bazaar Meat at SLS Las Vegas, the Bazaar by José Andrés at the SLS Hotel in Beverly Hills and South Beach, and Beefsteak, his vegetable-driven fast casual concept. Andrés is a committed advocate of food and hunger issues and is known for championing the role of chefs in the national debate on food policy.

In 2012, Andrés formed World Central Kitchen, a non-profit that provides smart solutions to hunger and poverty by using the power of food to empower communities and strengthen economies. Most notably, World Central Kitchen, along with #ChefsForPuertoRico, served over 3.5 million meals to the people of Puerto Rico following Hurricane Maria. BRUCE DRAGT joined CO-OP Financial Services in November 2018 as Chief Product Officer. Dragt has specialized in growing technology-driven companies, both start-ups and large, established companies.

In the two-plus years prior to joining CO-OP, he served as Executive Vice President, Product, for YapStone, a provider of electronic payment systems that help online and mobile companies with their payment transactions. Before that, Dragt spent more than 13 years holding multiple senior-level roles with First Data Corporation, including SVP, Global eCommerce-Merchant Products. Additional payments and financial industry experience includes work with i2 Technologies, Financial Settlement Matrix and Wells Fargo.

OMAR JOHNSON is a marketing and branding keynote speaker, entrepreneur, former CMO at Beats by Dre, and former VP Marketing at Apple. At Beats Electronics, Johnson was responsible for brand development, advertising, retail experience, entertainment / sports marketing, and digital marketing for all global brand marketing and advertising efforts. Adweek named Johnson a “Brand Genius” in 2013, and Business Insider named him one of the “Most Innovative CMOs” in 2016.

Under Johnson’s tenure, Beats grew from $180 million to a $1.1 billion dollar global icon and category leader, becoming the #1 premium headphone in North America, UK, France, Germany, South Korea and Singapore.

Johnson also built the Nike+ sports music platform, establishing Nike’s first revenue-generating relationship with record labels. Johnson and his team created an industry-first sports music program with Universal, Interscope, Sony, Capitol, Def Jam and more than 25 independent labels. This collaboration sold +5 Million tracks and deepened the connection between music and sports.

Johnson is from Brooklyn, NY. He received a BS in Biology and Chemistry from Georgia State University and an MBA from Goizueta Business School at Emory University.

CHARLES DUHIGG is the bestselling author of The Power of Habit: Why We Do What We Do in Life and Business, which explores the science of habit formation in our lives, companies and societies. Duhigg's presentations are both descriptive and prescriptive, and speak to a wide range of groups from the fields of science, medicine, business and education.

Duhigg is a Pulitzer prize-winning investigative reporter for The New York Times Magazine. A former writer for The New York Times business section as well, he has authored or contributed to multiple series, including “The Reckoning” (2008), which studied the causes and outcomes of the financial crisis, and “The iEconomy”, which examined the global economy through the lens of Apple, and which won the 2013 Pulitzer prize in explanatory journalism. He has also won the George Polk Award (2007), the Gerald Loeb Award (2008), the National Journalism Award (2009) and other honors.

In addition to his reporting, Charles Duhigg is a regular contributor to television and radio, including the Newshour with Jim Lehrer, Frontline, Dr. Oz and various programs on CNBC and NPR. Before becoming a journalist, Duhigg worked in private equity and founded a health care company in his home state of New Mexico (and, for one terrifying day in 1999, was a bike messenger in San Francisco.) He is a graduate of the Harvard Business School and Yale College.

TODD CLARK is President/CEO of CO-OP Financial Services, having begun his tenure on June 27, 2016.

Throughout his career, Clark has specialized in identifying technology gaps in the market and determining how emerging technology will fill those gaps, all with an aim of uncovering efficiencies for smaller financial institutions.

Prior to CO-OP, Clark spent 22 years with First Data Corporation, where he last held the position of SVP/Head of STAR Network and Debit Processing. In this capacity, he was responsible for the business unit’s profit/loss and led a team of more than 600 product, strategy, communications, strategic sales, technology, operations and support personnel. He also managed the Bank of America relationship as head of the financial institution group.

Clark also has entrepreneurial experience, co-founding a start-up company called Core Data. This organization was sold to Concord EFS, which later merged with First Data. At the time of sale, Core Data had become the second largest ATM processor in the United States. He was also an executive with Cardtronics, Inc., and Feedzai.

Clark holds a BA in economics from University of Texas at Austin.

TAAVI KOTKA became Estonia’s first ever Chief Information Officer in 2013 to oversee the country’s development as an advanced digital nation. He previously worked in the private sector, starting his career as a programmer before rising to be the CEO of the region’s largest software development company, Webmedia (now Nortal). During this time, Taavi was named Ernst & Young’s Entrepreneur of the Year.

As Estonia’s CIO, Taavi introduced a number of new ideas that have come to define the concept of ‘e-Estonia’ as a digital nation and these best practises are now being copied and implemented by other governments around the world. This includes the e-Residency programme, which has placed Estonia at the epicentre of the global tech community, as well as innovations such as data embassies, country-as-a-service (CAAS), the no-legacy policy, VAT fraud detection, and others. As a result of his work in the public sector, Taavi was named European CIO of the Year 2014 and received Estonia’s prestigious White Star III Class Order in 2016. Computerworld has named him as on of the 100 Premier technology leaders in 2016 and he made amongst the Apolitical's World’s 100 most influential people in digital government in 2018. Financial Times has named Taavi as one of the leading individuals among the Europe's 100 digital champions in 2018.

Taavi is now back in the private sector, helping startups develop and consulting large enterprises and governments on digital transformation. He is also a very popular and visionary speaker at large conferences around the world. Till the summer of 2018 Taavi was also a special advisor to European Commission vice-president Andrus Ansip on European Digital Single Market.

STEPHANIE WOERNER is a Research Scientist at the Center for Information Systems Research (CISR) at the MIT Sloan School of Management. Stephanie is an expert on how companies use technology and data to create more effective business models and her research centers on how companies manage organizational change caused by the digitization of the economy.

In 2016, she was a subject matter expert on enterprise digitization for the Wall Street Journal CEO Council Conference. She has a passion for measuring hard-to-assess digital factors such as connectivity and customer experience and linking them to firm performance. Recent articles (with Peter Weill) include "Thriving in an Increasingly Digital Ecosystem,” and “Is Your Company Ready for a Digital Future?”, in Sloan Management Review. Stephanie is the coauthor, with Peter, of What’s Your Digital Business Model? Six questions to help you build the next generation enterprise, (Harvard Business Review Press, 2018). She earned her Ph.D. in Organizational Behavior from the Stanford Graduate School of Business.

JEFFRY PILCHER is the CEO/President and founder of The Financial Brand, a digital publication focused on marketing and strategy issues in the banking industry with over 2 million readers around the world.

The survivor of two, rare neurological disorders that left her in a vegetative state and locked within her own body, completely unable to communicate with the outside world for nearly four years, Victoria Arlen’s story is sure to be one of the most remarkable journeys you’ve ever heard.

Written off as a lost cause by doctors, Victoria’s family refused to give up on her. BRAD BENDECK joined CO-OP in January 2019 as SVP of Strategic Partnerships & Corporate Development. Prior to CO-OP, Brad spent 10 years at First Data, most recently as General Manager of the Small Business Financing business (equipment leasing and merchant receivables factoring) and previously as VP of Corporate Development & Strategy.

Brad also spent 10 years in the telecommunications industry in strategic planning and finance roles at Sprint Nextel and a start-up local carrier called Net2000. Brad earned his EMBA from the Fuqua School of Business at Duke University and BSBA from the McDonough School of Business at Georgetown University. Brad resides in Atlanta, GA.

CATHERINE MALONEY joined CO-OP in June 2018 with over seventeen years of Financial Services experience, focusing on Data Management and the risks associated with managing it.

Her Banking background in Global Markets, Operations and Risk & Control has provided a unique opportunity to manage teams through the constantly changing global data environment with both a front office and back office lens. She has recently launched CO-OP’s Data Quality Program, which aims to bring a culture of clarity, consistency and accountability to the way CO-OP manages a key asset – data.

Before joining CO-OP Financial Services, CHAUN HEYWOOD worked for First Data for 23 years. In his last role, he was responsible for researching, developing, consulting and implementing solutions to support the business requirements of a top-tier client, HSBC NA.

Prior to that role, Chaun developed and managed products and services supporting clients such as Citi, Wells Fargo, PSCU, and UMB with their loyalty needs. He was also responsible for integrating third-party solutions to bring enhanced product offerings to First Data. In this role he earned the highest First Data achievement of the Fat Cat award for his role in process improvements and innovative solutions. In addition, Chaun received a US Patent for a project he was solely responsible. Chaun’s varied background in First Data products and services, separate entity, product development and consulting provides the perfect foundation for helping clients grow their portfolios at CO-OP Financial Services.

CHERYL MIDDLETON JONES joined CO-OP Financial Services as Chief People Officer in November 2018, bringing more than 20 years of human resources and change management experience within large organizations to help lead CO-OP’s transformation as a digital enterprise.

Jones joins CO-OP from Discovery, Inc., a mass media company operating the Discovery Channel and others, where she was Senior Vice President of Human Resources. In this capacity, Jones was responsible for defining and executing strategy and creating consistent structures, systems and operating plans involving 4,000 employees around the world. Earlier this year, she oversaw Discovery, Inc.’s global HR transformation following the acquisition of Scripps Networks Interactive. Prior to joining Discovery, Inc., in 2011, she worked for ING, the financial services company, from 2001-2011; and Honeywell, the high tech company, from 1994-2001.

COREY WEEKLUND leads the technical integration team at CO-OP’s Technology Delivery & Services area. The team is on the forefront of how our clients, products, FinTechs, and internal technologies integrate.

Corey has over 20 years’ experience in technology and has broad experience in his 9 years in CO-OP’s enterprise technology teams from infrastructure and architecture to IT operations and now integration.

DAVID DEMSKO has worked exclusively in financial services during his 15+ year career in the retail, business, and wholesale banking space.

His prior positions include strategic planning and implementation at both ABN AMRO and Lehman Brothers and, most recently, as a senior manager at EY in the Performance Improvement practice. He attended Penn State and Duke University.

DAVID FALESKI has been serving members of the credit union industry since 1993. The last 17 years of his career have been spent at Coastal Credit Union in the beautiful state of North Carolina, where David is a Senior Vice President and the Chief Information Officer.

David is a committed lifelong learner. In addition to a BS in Accounting and a certificate in Web & graphic design from the School of Communication Arts, he also has two Master degrees. The first, a MBA with a concentration in Marketing; and most recently, a M.Ed. focused on leveraging Technology in Education. Additionally, David has earned numerous IT certifications including the Certified Internet Webmaster (CIW) Master Designer and Project Management Professional (PMP) credentials. David—a Mensan, Filene Institute i3 Alumni, CCUE, and CUDE (Fall of ’12)—is an outspoken advocate for leveraging credit union cooperative principles as the mechanism for improving the financial lives of credit union members locally, across the nation, and around the globe.

David and Jennifer—his wife of 27 years—make their home in Raleigh with their dog Gretl.

DEB WIECZOREK leads the SmartGrowth team of advisors and offers over 35 years of financial services experience.

For the majority of her career she served as VP of Relationship Management/Sales with Elan Financial Services and MasterCard, where she was responsible for client satisfaction; selling and consulting on products and services; and strategies to help position financial institutions with credit and debit card portfolios and brand expansions for growth. Some of the clients that Deb has had direct responsibility are Northern Trust, Comerica, Umpqua Bank, Associated Bank (Wisconsin) Wells Fargo (Consumer Card Division), First National Bank of Omaha and Capital City Bank. In addition, Deb offers expertise in employee development, setting strategic plans to ensure growth, and P&L management. She also spent time at First Data creating a team of individuals that would become an extension for one of the world’s largest financial institutions, HSBC NA. In this role, she also created a new revenue channel for First Data. Deb has spent time in all spaces within the payments’ eco- system: acquiring, issuing, network, and processor. She was awarded the Pinnacle Award for Excellence in 2006, 2008, and 2010.

ED EGAN, Director of Business Intelligence & Reporting, is a passionate leader driven in helping credit unions build strong card portfolios through the use of advanced analytics and data science.

Ed is going on 12 years with CO-OP and currently leads its business intelligence and data science platform, including oversight of new technologies and supporting talent. Ed came up through technology as a report developer and has always strived for providing valuable insights through data in manner that tells a story and is visually pleasing. An early adopter of Tableau, Ed became a certified tableau desktop professional, and started an enterprise Tableau platform for CO-OP. Ed lives in Phoenix, Arizona with his family and is an avid hiker and amateur photographer.

FOTIS KONSTANTINIDIS is leading all fraud and authentication products at CO-OP, including the ability to apply advanced AI to various existing and future solutions.

Before CO-OP, Fotis had a leadership role at McKinsey, defining corporate strategy for large players in the financial services industry. He also held leadership roles at Visa, where he delivered a number of IoT/connected car pre-production prototypes, and Accenture, where he managed large teams to digitally transform Fortune 500 companies. Fotis has co-founded and worked in a number of high-tech startups and started his career as a data scientist for brain research. He completed his graduate studies at UCLA in Computer Science, Space Physics and Chemical Engineering.

GAIL TOLFI's career has evolved over 25 years in the payments industry, leading CU’s through Project Management, Product & Technology, Sales, and Client/Member Experience.

Gail is passionate about building relationships and being a true partner – identifying each client’s unique needs, and collaborating to design solutions to enable them to drive loyalty, serve their members, and exceed their goals. Her career has been solely focused on the credit union movement, and she continues to be a relentless advocate for innovation and change in the digital age, while continuing to support the credit union mission of people-helping people.

JENNIFER PLATT serves as the Vice President, Digital Transformation at Suncoast Credit Union in Tampa, FL, where she has worked over the past 7 years.

She currently oversees the strategic vision of the Digital Ecosystem. In her role she utilizes business agility to drive execution of development, intelligent automation, and process engineering. Jennifer holds a Master of Arts in Management & Leadership, Graduate Certificate in Project Management, and BA in Organizational Development.

ADAM HARLOW is an accomplished corporate leader with deep experience building high-level strategy and executing in complex environments. Prior to joining COOP Adam was a part of the corporate strategy group at SunTrust Bank where he established a track record in a diverse range of areas including enterprise and line of business strategic planning, consulting, research and thought leadership across retail/consumer banking, business banking and corporate functions.

Adam also had a lengthy consulting career with Deloitte Consulting for over 10 years serving clients in both the public and private sector with lager transformations, strategy development, and business process improvement.

JOE MIRACHI is the President/CEO of the Launch Federal Credit Union in Merritt Island, Florida.

Joe’s a continuous learner with a BA in economics, a graduate certificate in banking and an MBA. For a number of years, he was an adjunct professor facilitating classes in economics, marketing, finance and strategic planning. Despite being the son of two artists, Joe artistic abilities are limited, however, he is known to be a creative problem-solver. He’s happily married with three adult daughters.

KIM DENNO joined CO-OP Financial Services in August 2017. Kim has 20 years of experience in the credit union industry working for large credit unions. For 17 of those years, she served as a Loan and Card Product Manager for Sharonview Credit Union.

Her experience includes analyzing the competitive environment, industry trends, and product portfolio performance to identify opportunities for growth. In addition, Kim was responsible for creating and overseeing the execution of the lending marketing strategy, including identifying target audiences and analyzing promotion results, while partnering with operations for successful implementation. Prior to the role Kim held at Sharonview Credit Union, she held marketing and lending roles at ESL Federal Credit Union (Rochester, NY).

LOUISE JOHNSON is Director of Client Experience, with CO-OP Financial Services. She has over 20 years of experience in the financial services industry.

She has lead high performing teams in Retail Banking, Business Banking, and Credit Unions. Her skill set encompasses customer experience design, delivery and management, sales success management and operational and audit excellence. Louise joined CO-OP in 2017 where she successfully lead their early CX Design initiatives. While Louise originally hails from Scotland, she has lived in the US for over 22 years and currently lives in Northern Virginia with her husband and 17 year old Triplets.

MARK ANGHILANTE brings extensive knowledge and experience in business transformation and change management in the financial services space. His track record of achieving significant business results is due to the smart mix of visionary thinking and practical execution most meaningful to clients.

Before joining CO-OP in 2018, Mark served for 25+ years in a variety of client experience, client service and business transformation roles including Vice President Client Service and Business Excellence at First Data and Quality Leader/Six Sigma Master Black Belt at JP Morgan Chase, Compaq Computer and GE.

Chief Revenue Officer MATHEW KARDELL joined CO-OP in April 2017. Previously, he was Senior Vice President and General Manager (SVP/GM) of STAR Network Relationship and Sales at First Data Corporation. He is a veteran of the payments and financial services industry with more than 25 years in high-performing revenue-generation and business development roles.

At First Data, Kardell most recently was responsible for the company’s STAR Network client relationships with merchants and financial Institutions, with network transactions experiencing double-digit percent growth in 2015. Prior to that position, he was SVP/GM of Financial Institution Relationships and New Business Development, managing more than $1 billion in revenue and spanning more than 4,000 financial institutions in North America. In addition, Kardell has extensive experience in the credit union space, having managed those strategic relationships during his tenure at First Data.

MATTHEW MAGUIRE is the Chief Data Officer for CO-OP Financial Services, based in Rancho Cucamonga, California (www.co-opfs.org), a payments and financial technology company serving credit unions. Maguire joined CO-OP in August 2017 and reports to Nick Calcanes, the company Chief Information Officer.

In addition to advancing the company’s broad technology goals, Maguire plays an instrumental role in helping CO-OP’s credit union clients make greater use of their data with emerging technologies, such as machine learning and artificial intelligence. Maguire joins CO-OP from Bank of America where he spent more than 10 years honing his global technology experience. Most recently serving as a senior vice president, he was responsible for leading the bank’s data application development, operations and support, an effort that required leadership of hundreds of full-time employees, consultants and global partners. Other areas of expertise Maguire has developed over a nearly 20-year career in technology include business intelligence tools, identity access platforms, global information security requirements, data sharing agreements, data visualization/dashboards, as well as integration, consolidation and enhancement of critical enterprise data management platforms.

MIKE KRESSE is Division Executive, Card & Money Movement for FIS. In this capacity, Mike is responsible for driving the strategic direction, innovation, P/L, and overall business for FIS Card & Money Movement Solutions including Debit, Credit, Bill Pay, P2P/Zelle, Integrated Payables, Invoice to Pay, ACH & RTP.

ROBYN ANDERSEN, VP of Contact Center Products, has over 30 years of experience delivering new market and product development initiatives in the Credit, Debit, Healthcare and Government sectors.

The last 10 years, she has focused on contact center initiatives to provide consumer-focused, multichannel solutions. TINA RIOUX joined CO-OP in February 2017 and offers over 25 years of financial services experience, primarily in the credit union industry. She began her career as a credit union teller and expanded into additional positions including: teller supervisor, new accounts, Visa credit card coordinator, member service supervisor, and merchant processing.

Prior to joining CO-OP, Tina was a Customer Relationship Manager at JHA Card Processing Solutions (formerly Pemco Technologies) for over 13 years. Tina was responsible for consulting with clients to grow their portfolios. Clients supported by Tina include: Veridian Credit Union, Educators Credit Union, Healthcare Associates Credit Union, Department of Commerce Credit Union, and US Senate Federal Credit Union. DEAN MICHAELS joined CO-OP Financial Services in December 2017 as Chief Strategy Officer. Dean brings extensive corporate development background and expertise in the arena of payments technology and networks.

Prior to joining CO-OP, Michaels held leadership roles at First Data Corporation, including Head of Business Execution for STAR Network and Head of Finance for First Data’s U.S. Merchant Acquiring Business. IAN MACALLISTER is vice president and Head of Sales and Customer Success for Early Warning, with responsibility over Early Warning’s sales organization. He brings substantial industry and leadership expertise to the role with a focus on how to always keep the customer at the center of product and service solutions.

Previously he was vice president of market strategy-partnerships. In this role he supported the payments product organization’s drive towards reaching a ubiquitous real-time network by establishing partnerships with financial services technology providers and other payment networks as well as emerging payments companies and large financial institutions.

Prior to joining Early Warning in 2015, Macallister was head of business development, finance, and human resources for clearXchange. Additionally he has held a number of finance and strategic roles during his fourteen years at Wells Fargo. Macallister completed his B.A. in Architecture at Williams College and his M.B.A. at the Haas School of Business at the University of California, Berkeley. Ian resides in Northern California on a suburban farm with his wife, daughters, and a host of “inherited” farm animals.
