SCOTT BELSKY: CREDIT UNION LEADERS MUST FIGHT APATHY

Debate is healthy and innovation is spurred by rapid iterations and often times, a whole lot of failure--but that's ok, explains Behance Founder and CEO, Scott Belsky. Belsky has committed his professional life to organizing creative individuals, teams, and networks. He warns credit unions against meeting structures and workflow situations that fail to keep employees engaged by encouraging consensus.
Belsky explains to CO-OP THINK 13 that often, conversations become a multi-dimensional tug of war. Some people are passionate about defending their opinions, while others throw up their hands and give up. As a result, apathy can become a big obstacle to innovation. The people who suffer are the credit union members, who may be deprived of the most innovative solutions.
